Badin Lake, located in central North Carolina, originated from the impoundment of the Yadkin River by the Narrows Dam, which was completed in 1917 for hydroelectric power generation for aluminum production. Its diverse fish population includes bass, crappie, and catfish, making it a favorite spot for fishing enthusiasts and hosting various tournaments.
