Asheville Art Museum

The Asheville Art Museum was incorporated in 1948 and has a fascinating history centered around its commitment to being a positive force in the Asheville Community. It offers a number of exhibitions that feature American art from the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as programs aimed at varying age groups. We believe the museum is one of the preeminent art museums in North Carolina, and we were really impressed with the beauty of the facility and the friendliness of their staff. We also loved that they had a kid-friendly section with a number of hands-on activities that our kids had a blast with.

@thesociableadventurer Asheville Art Museum's vision is to "transform lives through art." After their establishment in 1948, they've committed to providing art education and enrichment to the community. They take pride in their schedule of 20th and 21st-century American art exhibitions. We love that they offer classes, workshops, tours, performances, lectures, and other programs for all ages. Our 3-year-old and 5-year-old loved viewing the art display, and they especially loved the kid's area, where they could create artwork of their own.
