Badin Lake

Badin Lake, located in central North Carolina, originated from the impoundment of the Yadkin River by the Narrows Dam, which was completed in 1917 for hydroelectric power generation for aluminum production. Serving recreational and water supply purposes today, the lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, camping, and hiking, surrounded by the scenic Uwharrie National Forest. Its diverse fish population includes bass, crappie, and catfish, making it a favorite spot for fishing enthusiasts and hosting various tournaments.
