Cary, North Carolina is home to one of the most active craft beer scenes in Wake County — anchored by several distinctive downtown breweries alongside a nationally recognized artisan bakery. Historic downtown Cary serves as the hub, with locally owned breweries, cafés, and specialty food businesses clustered around Chatham and Academy Streets.
The town’s craft beer scene has become a genuine regional draw — with Bond Brothers Beer Company (crowned USA Today’s Best New Brewery in the Country) leading the modern-craft side, and Fortnight Brewing Company (Cary’s oldest brewery, specializing in traditional English-style ales and cask-conditioned beer) representing a distinct European brewing tradition. Rounding out the scene is La Farm Bakery — an authentic French boulangerie founded by Master Baker Lionel Vatinet, whose hand-crafted breads and pastries have earned nationwide recognition.
