Stokesdale, NC

The Town of Stokesdale was incorporated in 1989, but its history goes back to the 1860s. The Town had a railroad station that serviced a rail line that stretched from Greensboro to Mount Airy. The train station was moved to Madison in 1977, where it was remodeled as a home.

The downtown of Stokesdale is starting to see new life as an effort to remodel the downtown buildings has been happening recently, and we continue to be excited to see the Town’s resurgence. Stokesdale is located in the northwest corner of Guilford County, close to where four NC counties meet (Guilford, Forsyth, Rockingham, and Stokes).
