Valdese Lakeside Park

The Valdese Lakeside Park is a 300-acre park that is continuously being developed and improved. The Park is nestled along McGalliard Creek and Lake Rhodhiss. We were impressed with the short trail that led to an overlook that provided an exceptional view of the surrounding water. Some of the current amenities that are available are hiking and mountain biking trails, picnic tables, places to launch canoes and kayaks, fishing areas, and a dog park. We look forward to checking out the Park again on our next visit to Valdese.

@thesociableadventurer Valdese, NC, is a quaint town with a beautiful downtown area and growing parks and recreation sites. Valdese Lakeside Park is a 300-acre piece of property developed for recreational use, and it includes 8.5 miles of hiking and biking trails, a kayak launch, a dog park, a picnic area, and space for fishing. We took the 2-mile greenway and crossed the 160-foot suspension bridge to McGalliard Falls Park, where we explored McGalliard Falls, a 40-foot waterfall, and the 1906 Meytre Grist Mill. @Visit NC @DiscoverTheCarolinas @Discover_Burke_County @Year of the Trail #Valdese #ValdeseNC #BurkeCounty #BurkeCountyNC #McGalliardFalls #McGalliardFallsPark #ValdeseLakesidePark #BurkeOut #visitnc #mync #celebratenc #celebratingnc #bestofthetarheelstate #explorenc #explorelocal #discoverthecarolinas #discovercarolinas #NC #paddlenc #paddletrail #waterfall #chasingwaterfalls #waterfallnc #lovenc #BestoftheTarheelState #NC #NorthCarolina #greattrailsstate #greattrailsnc #yearofthetrail #hikenc ♬ Sing of the Forest – Amanda Rosa
