High Shoals Falls is a two-tiered waterfall. The upper tier drops about 80 feet, and the lower tier cascades down another 80 feet, making it a total of approximately 160 feet in height. The waterfall is surrounded by lush forest, and the trail leading to it offers an excellent opportunity for hiking and enjoying nature. Visitors can reach High Shoals Falls via a 1.9-mile loop trail known as the High Shoals Falls Loop Trail. The trail can be moderately strenuous at times, as it involves steep terrain and stairs, but the payoff is the breathtaking view of the waterfall at the end. It’s an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and photographers, and it’s a particularly popular destination during the spring and summer when the waterfall is at its most impressive due to increased water flow.
