The Cavers Creek State Park’s Sandhills Access offers trails for hiking and nature walks. These trails provide opportunities to explore the diverse ecosystems in the region, including longleaf pine habitats. Both of the Park’s access points feature unique wildlife, such as the red-cockaded woodpecker and the pine barrens tree frog. The trails are all rated easy at this access, and we can attest that they are accurately rated from our perspective, which makes for a relaxing hike.
