Dogwood Trail – Piedmont Environmental Center

The Dogwood Trail at the Piedmont Environmental Center in High Point, North Carolina, is a scenic and educational path that is approximately 0.4 miles long. Nestled within a 376-acre preserve, this trail is part of an extensive network of natural surface trails that wind through hardwood and pine forests as well as along lakeside habitats. It is designed not only for hiking but also for learning, offering visitors insights into the local flora and fauna.

Along with other trails, such as the Bill Faver Lakeshore Trail and the Fiddlehead Trail, the Dogwood Trail provides a tranquil escape to appreciate the beauty of nature. The trail can be accessed from two points on the Bill Faver Lakeshore Trail and off of the Pine Thicket Trail. Its relatively wide paths, likely remnants of an old logging route, make it unique compared to other trails in the Piedmont Environmental Center.
