Hollis Rogers Pine Woods Trail – Piedmont Environmental Center

The Hollis Rogers Pine Woods Trail is a delightful short hike located within the North Preserve of the Piedmont Environmental Center in High Point, North Carolina. It offers a serene escape into nature. This trail spans just 0.4 miles and is marked with orange and green blazes, winding through a picturesque landscape of pine and hardwood forests that showcase the region’s natural beauty.

Access to the Hollis Rogers Pine Woods Trail is only possible by hiking the Deep River Trail, and it is part of a larger network of 6.6 miles of natural surface trails that explore diverse habitats, including lakeside areas. It is believed that some of the pine trees in this area were planted during Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal era.
