Access to the Hollis Rogers Pine Woods Trail is only possible by hiking the Deep River Trail, and it is part of a larger network of 6.6 miles of natural surface trails that explore diverse habitats, including lakeside areas. It is believed that some of the pine trees in this area were planted during Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal era.
