River Landing Boardwalk

The River Landing Boardwalk stretches 550 feet along the Roanoke River in Williamston, North Carolina, giving you a quiet place to walk above the wetlands and woods. Parking is available on both sides, so getting there is simple. You can also reach the boardwalk from downtown by following the 0.93-mile Skewarkee Rail Trail.

The walkway is fully accessible and offers wide views of the river, making it a nice spot for walking, birdwatching, or just enjoying the local wildlife. Close by, you’ll find a double boat launch for motorboats, a kayak launch, a fishing pier, and a picnic shelter, so there’s something for everyone who enjoys being outdoors. Next to the boardwalk, the River Landing camping platform is screened and covered, with gated river access, giving paddlers a comfortable place to spend the night.
