Ted’s Kickin’ Chicken
Ted’s Kickin’ Chicken is a local institution on Statesville Road, serving lightly breaded, pan-fried chicken and jumbo wings dipped in the house sauce — the dishes that have made Ted’s name known for decades. The menu fills out with large, juicy burgers, a tenderloin sandwich, sides, and a good selection of tea and beer, all at prices that keep locals coming back. The North Wilkesboro location is the last operating spot carrying on the old Ted’s Famous Chicken tradition, and it remains a straightforward, satisfying stop for chicken done the way this area likes it.
