Boondocks Brewing – Taproom & Restaurant

If you find yourself in downtown West Jefferson, NC, after a drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains, make sure to stop by Boondocks Brewing. This was the first craft brewery in Ashe County, opening in 2012 thanks to a group of veterans with a passion for good beer. The employee-owned brewery has been serving up quality pints ever since.

Visit the lively Tap Room & Restaurant for dishes like sweet-potato bites with house-made apple butter, pork ribeye, or fresh mountain trout, all paired with small-batch beers such as the citrusy New River Red IPA or a smooth multi-malt stout. Boondocks is dog-friendly, welcoming to families, and full of mountain-town charm. It’s a place where both locals and visitors gather for great food, excellent beer, and good memories.
