Carolina Beach Lake Park

Carolina Beach Lake Park is a quiet, family-friendly spot right in the middle of Carolina Beach, only a few blocks from the ocean. The park surrounds an 11-acre freshwater lake and gives you a break from the beach, with calm water, shady areas, and easy paths that locals and visitors both enjoy.

A paved path circles the lake, with piers stretching out over the water. It’s an easy and pretty walk for walkers, joggers, and families with strollers. Along the way, gazebos by the lake offer shady places to rest, enjoy the view, or have a quiet picnic.

On one side of the lake, Veterans Memorial Island sits just off the main path and is reached by a small bridge. Dedicated in 2005 to honor those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, the island is a special part of the park and a peaceful place to reflect.

On the other side of the lake, the Rainbow Bridge is a tribute to pets who have passed away. Inspired by the well-known poem, the bridge gives pet owners a special place to remember and honor their companions.

The park has the Brandy Myers Memorial Playground for kids, lots of benches, and several fountains in the lake. Its peaceful setting and shady trees make it a favorite place for a midday break, an evening walk, or just a quiet moment away from the busy beach.

Thanks to its central location, easy access, and relaxed feel, Carolina Beach Lake Park shows a different side of Carolina Beach. It’s close to everything, but it feels like a peaceful escape.
