Carolina Beach State Park – Snow’s Cut Trail

The Snow’s Cut Trail at Carolina Beach State Park is an easy 0.75-mile walk with great views along one of the park’s unique waterways. The trail starts at the picnic area and follows Snow’s Cut, a man-made channel that is part of the Intracoastal Waterway and separates Pleasure Island from the mainland. Campers can also access the trail directly from the campground, making it simple to start hiking right from their site.

As you walk the trail, you’ll see beautiful views of Snow’s Cut, with chances to watch boats go by and enjoy the coastal scenery. The path goes through a thick pine and hardwood forest, where tall trees provide plenty of shade and make the hike feel calm and relaxing.

The Snow’s Cut Trail also includes the TRACK Trail, a 0.25-mile section made for families and kids. You can usually find brochures at the trailhead, so younger hikers can enjoy a fun and educational experience during their walk.

Keep in mind that mosquitoes can be common here, especially in warmer months, so it’s a good idea to bring bug spray. With its waterway views, shady forest, and easy access from the picnic area, the Snow’s Cut Trail is a relaxing and enjoyable way to explore another part of Carolina Beach State Park.
