Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Sir Walter Coffee is a vibrant gem that redefines the coffee shop experience with its bold ethos of “coffee, craft, comfort.” Since opening in 2017, this local favorite has become a community hub, serving inventive coffee and tea cocktails alongside a menu of creative breakfast and lunch options. Whether you prefer the indulgent Ghostface Killer brew or the Walter Raleigh brew, there is something for everyone. The lively patio and cozy indoor nooks buzz with energy throughout the day and night. In the evening, it transforms into Sir Walter Cocktail, a speakeasy-style bar offering espresso martinis, rum-based cocktails, and mimosa flights. With its welcoming atmosphere, unique drinks, and a nod to North Carolina’s own Sir Walter Raleigh Tobacco (not the explorer!), Sir Walter Coffee is a must-visit. We also want to note that there are two separate locations in downtown Raleigh (fairly close to each other), and there may be some differences as to what is on the menu at each location.
