Kaleideum

Located in the vibrant heart of downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Kaleideum has emerged as a hub of curiosity and creativity. It opened its doors in February 2024 after a transformative merger of the beloved Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks. Spanning five stories and an impressive 70,000 square feet, this experiential learning center offers an engaging environment where science, art, and technology come together through hands-on exhibits that captivate both children and adults.

Imagine your little ones engineering innovative contraptions in interactive maker spaces, stargazing in the Digital Dome’s planetarium shows, or exploring the multi-level Rooftop Adventure playground, which boasts stunning skyline views and woven climbing structures. Inspired by the ever-changing patterns of a kaleidoscope, Kaleideum recreates education as a joyful exploration, attracting families from near and far to its Third Street location. With affordable attractions that leave lasting memories, it once again highlights why Winston-Salem is a premier destination for fulfilling family adventures.
